But I quibble - a minor bug compared with some of the others in Banktivity. Workspaces is a good feature but not completely bug free as it often stops collapsing and uncollapsing sidebar. "Dark Mode" - well I do like the UI on the Mac - but where is dark mode on iPad and iPhone?
#BANKTIVITY 7 VS 6 UPGRADE#
However, if you upgrade your account from Banktivity or 5 to Banktivity 6, you will only pay 34.99. MS Money has still never been surpassed in my opinion. Is Banktivity 7 a one-time purchase Conversely, Banktivity 7 is still an all-around choice, costing just 69.99 (with an additional 44 annual fee of 0.99 if you want the direct access feature).
#BANKTIVITY 7 VS 6 SOFTWARE#
Ironically I would actually prefer to pay for subscription personal finance software provided it was being very actively supported and developed. "Buy and own software" - normally I absolutely hate subscription software as most of them have a near-monopoly and gouge consumers because there is not really an alternative. Apple offers totally excellent free bit-syncing for native apps - but weirdly IGG do not take advantage of this and use their own clunky file-based sync through their own server - totally baffles me why. Also no way to build budgets in non=base currencies, despite what they claim in the manual. Also no way to duplicate and edit budgets to make a "what if I lose my job budget" - you have to build everything again from scratch. Budgeting is good start - but there is no way to project cashflow (lets ignore the completely useless forecast report which does not have budget integration.). MacOS/iOS native is GOOD - as long as it means accelerated development and bug fixes. More to learn, but I think I have FINALLY landed my place here. This is where you can have two screens in-app to view register and reports, or browser and budgets, etc. Works with MacOS Dark mode and it's beautiful. Banktivity 6 introduces Workspace, a new feature that enables customers to view any account, budget, report, or other view side by side. Budget can be month to month or Envelopes.your choice So, took a look at Banktivity 7.5 and it hits all the right spots. It’s Top-Rated in The App Store: Banktivity 7 is the best rated Mac app available for use for your personal finances. The price of the app for the latest addition, which is Banktivity 7 is 69.99, and Banktivity 6 is 64.99. I tried B6 before and just couldn't wrap my head around it, so I went YNAB, then Quicken, back to YNAB, then back to Quicken (Windows version via CrossOver on Mac).and got fed up with having to force a version to work on an OS it isn't designed to. The only time a credit card is used is when you make the purchase of the application.

I'm an envelope budgeter so that shortens the list of software titles that will work. Some are too simple, others too complex, a few are web only, and the rest just don't do electronic banking well.at all.

I truly been around the banking software circle on both PC and Mac.
